Static and dynamic PIN combination for added security
The new contactless security card uses a combination of static and dynamic PIN. A static password consists of a sequence of numbers. A dynamic PIN (one-time password) is required for each use. The dynamic PIN is automatically generated by the security chip in the card for each transaction and displayed on the integrated LED screen. This security chip sets a new standard for non-contact applications: it uses the energy emitted by the reader to power the security chip, generate a password and power the display components. The LED screen is embedded in the security card and the dynamic password is displayed on the surface of the security card.
