Therefore, strictly speaking, in a running motor, the correct term should be "torque," not "moment" or "twisting force." However, over time, people have become accustomed to using all three terms, and few bother to correct them.

There are two common units for torque: kilogram-meter (kg·m) and Newton-meter (N·m). One gram-meter (g·m) is equal to one thousandth of a kilogram-meter. As mentioned earlier, 1 kilogram-force equals 9.8 Newtons, so 1 kg·m is equivalent to 9.8 N·m. Understanding the difference between these units is essential when working with motors, especially in engineering and industrial applications where precision matters.
