Angle encoder
Angle encoders are specially designed to describe encoders with accuracy higher than ±5” and with more than 10000 lines. These devices can be used on CNC rotary tables, machine rotors, indexing devices, high-precision angle measuring tables, angles Weights and measures, antenna and telescope precision equipment.

Rotary encoder
HEIDENHAIN rotary encoders can be used as rotary motion, angular velocity measuring sensors, or in conjunction with mechanical measuring standards, such as screws, for measuring linear motion. Applications include motors, machine tools, woodworking machinery, textile machinery, robotics and transportation equipment as well as various measuring, testing and inspection equipment.

Incremental angle encoders and rotary encoders determine the current position by counting the number of counting signals from the starting point number or the subdivision circuit. HEIDENHAIN's incremental Guanshan holds the reference point. When it is turned on, the reference point zeroing operation must be performed to establish the origin. Rotary encoders with commutation signals provide the angular position of the shaft without the need to move before the measurement. The accuracy is sufficient to correctly control the phase of the rotating magnetic field of the permanent magnet three-phase motor.

Absolute angle encoders and rotary encoders can directly provide the current position value without performing a reference point zero return operation. A single-turn encoder can provide a position value within one revolution, and a multi-turn encoder can also distinguish position values of different rotations. HEIDENHAIN absolute angle encoders and rotary encoder measurements are transmitted via EnDat, SSI, PROFIBUS-DP or other serial data interfaces. The EnDat or PROFIBUS-DP bi-directional interface supports high-level automatic configuration of the circuit and has detection and diagnostic capabilities. Using a programmable rotary encoder, the user can adjust the functions and parameters of different encoders via the software on the computer.

Magnetic encoder
The excellent performance of ERM magnetic encoders is particularly suitable for production equipment. The large internal diameter and the compact and compact scanning head make them more effective for use in:
• The C-axis of the lathe • The stator orientation of the milling machine • The auxiliary shaft • The signal cycle of approximately 400 μm for the gear set and the special MAGNODUR grating application technology make the accuracy and the shaft speed necessary for these applications.
