According to the latest video surveillance data report of iHS, Hikvision once again achieved leading results in the industry. This is the fourth consecutive year that Hikvision has achieved market share in the global CCTV and video surveillance equipment market. Compared with last year, this year's overall market share has increased by more than 50%, reaching a market share of 16.3%, compared with 8% of the previous year, it has doubled.
The iHS report pointed out that the global video surveillance equipment market in 2014 was 14.32 billion US dollars, an increase of 14.2%. Growth in Europe, America and Asia was lower than expected; China's growth was higher than expected, with a total market volume of US$5.71 billion. The IP video surveillance equipment market grew by 35.4%, while the analog equipment market fell by 11.2%. As users' demand for HD increases, the trend of security IP will accelerate.
Surveillance cameras will maintain a compound growth rate of 22% in the next five years. IPC network camera share will increase from 39% to 80% in the same period. IPC shipments will surpass analog cameras in 2015. The IPC market with more than one million pixels is growing rapidly, and the high price of 4K lenses needs to further reduce costs. The 180/360 degree panoramic IPC demand increased significantly, and the PTZ cloud IPC growth was slower than expected.
iHS's summary analysis of the development of global IP video surveillance, and market forecasts for the next five years, coincides with Hikvision's market view.
The iHS report pointed out that Hikvision ranks first in many categories. In the fast-developing video surveillance equipment market, Hikvision has a 18.9% share in the global network video surveillance equipment market.
