Video Remote Control System Based on LabVIEW

In this paper, based on the principle of virtual instrument and the structural characteristics of the computer, a video remote monitoring system based on LabVIEW is proposed. The data remote monitoring and control using TCP/IP protocol is introduced. Using LOCD technology and TCP/IP protocol group and network transmission module in LabVIEW, a cheaper monitoring system design scheme is proposed, which has the characteristics of strong versatility, high practical value and stable performance.

1 Introduction

With the rapid development of science and technology, the network has now entered thousands of households and become an indispensable condition for life, work and study. Remote monitoring has been gradually applied to many fields such as government, education, medical care, production, and law and order.

Video capture is an essential module in the construction of remote video measurement and control systems. Through the video, the client can easily observe the situation at any time and issue control commands in real time for the situation. This paper introduces the remote video surveillance system developed by the LABVIEW software in virtual instrument using control technology.

2. System hardware design

In the hardware system, the client PC uses TCP/IP communication to issue a control command to the remote monitoring terminal PC, and the remote monitoring terminal PC uses the data acquisition card to output a control signal to operate by obtaining a control command issued by the client PC.

2.1 capture card

The data acquisition card is a capture card with USB interface listed by Haikai Cong in February 2013. Real-time monitoring/video playback full D1, support 720X576 HD resolution, 4 channels of video input, 4 channels of audio input.

2.2 Control and control mechanism

In the control and control mechanism, the main output switch is controlled by the analog output channel, and the voltage of the analog output is connected to the relay, thereby completing the control of the remote valve and the switch.

3. System software

The data transmission scheme designed by this subject mainly adopts the TCP protocol, and uses the Vision AcquisiTIon Software in the imaging software LabVIEW to write a complete TCP usage control. In this design module towel, the image information collected by the server is mainly transmitted to the client, so the transmission part is the most important. Because it uses the TCP protocol, you can directly call the written TCP open, TCP write, TCP read and TCP shutdown functions, and then connect accordingly.

3.1 Overall block diagram

The software part is divided into two parts: the server and the client. You need to use LABVIEW software to design an executable flowchart. The specific design is shown in Figure 1.

3.2 Video image display and acquisition module

In order to achieve the purpose of experimental data acquisition while video transmission, the video module and data acquisition module in the software design must be implemented in parallel and independently. Two independent loop programs are set in the LABVIEW software, respectively, by different Boolean controls. Control so you can capture both video and experimental data. The image acquisition program block diagram is shown in Figure 2.

3.3 Video surveillance design

In the video monitoring module, the main task is to transmit the image information collected by the server to the client. And because of the use of the TCP protocol, you can directly call the written TCP open, TCP write, TCP read and TCP off functions, and then the corresponding connection. The part of TCP/IP transmission is a string, so the server needs to convert the collected image data into a string after the image is acquired, in order to transmit. At the same time, in the transmission process, once any interruption occurs in either the client or the server, the entire communication process is immediately ended, and a processing procedure when an error occurs is provided, as shown in FIG.

3.4 Video Saving Module Design

In modern remote video surveillance systems, modules for image preservation are indispensable. Use the picture in LABVIEW to write the file function control, and call the WebcamFlatto picture.vi and Picture to Pixmap.vi functions, and then call the specific structure parameter settings and save the path.

4. Summary

The use of image virtual software LABVIEW makes the design of wireless video transmission system more simple, and the human-computer interaction interface is more intuitive and beautiful.
