Wireless Mesh Network, the Chinese name wireless mesh network , alias " multi-hop " network , it is a new wireless network technology completely different from the traditional wireless network .

Wireless mesh network, a mesh Routers (routers) and mesh Clients (client), wherein the mesh Routers configured backbone network and a wired internet network and is connected, is responsible for providing multi-hop wireless network connections for mesh clients.

And so on, the packet can continue to be routed to the next node closest to it according to the network , until it reaches the final destination. This access method is multi-hop access .

In fact, the familiar Internet is a typical example of a Mesh network. For example, when we send an E-mail , the e -mail does not arrive directly in the recipient's mailbox , but is forwarded from one server to another through the router, and finally reaches the user's mailbox after multiple route forwarding. In the process of forwarding , the router generally selects the most efficient transmission path so that the email can reach the user's mailbox as soon as possible. The wireless mesh network has the redundancy mechanism and rerouting function provided by the distributed network. In wireless Mesh network, if you want to add a new device, simply connect the power on it, it can configure itself automatically, and determine the best multi-hop transmission path. When adding or moving devices, the network automatically discovers topology changes and automatically adjusts communication routes to get the most efficient transmission path .
