After pressing Win+R, type gpedit.msc, navigate to “Computer Configuration - Windows Settings - Security Settings - Software Restriction Policies,” and right-click on “Software Restriction Policies” to select “Create Software Restriction Policy.” Go to the “Other Rules” folder on the right, click “Actions” above, and choose “New Hash Rule.” Add C:\Program Files (x86)\Thunder Network\Thunder9\Program\TBC\ThunderBrowser.exe and set the security level to “Not Allowed.”    Windows Home Edition If you’re using the home version and don’t have access to Group Policy, you’ll need to rely on the Registry Editor. Simply press Win+R and type regedit. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer (create this item if it doesn’t already exist). Now, create a DWORD(32-bit) value named “DisallowRun” on the right-hand side and set its numeric data to 1. You can use Group Policy to fully disable the AppData\Roaming\XLGameBox folder or disable the XLGameBox.exe file via the registry. Additionally, if you simply want a quiet download experience, add the following paths to the hash rules (or use the registry to disable the relevant .exe files): C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Thunder Network C:\Program Files (x86)\Thunder Network\Thunder9\Program\miniXLGameCenter C:\Program Files (x86)\Thunder Network\Thunder9\Program\TBC C:\Program Files (x86)\Thunder Network\Thunder9\Program\XLGameCenter C:\Users\Public\Thunder Network C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\XLGameBox This way, you’ve effectively crafted your own streamlined version of Thunder. This method can be applied to other software as well, though it’s important to note that not all programs behave the same way. Some software might check all attached components upon startup, rendering the entire application unusable even if you disable specific features. When faced with such stubborn cases, my usual approach is to look for viable alternatives—because, why settle for less?
