Experience Feelings
According to the official introduction, the MDR-1000X has a pickup microphone on each earcup, facing the ear, and uses an algorithm to achieve active noise reduction. Sony recommends starting the calibration procedure when wearing it to ensure more accurate noise reduction. In simple terms, the system picks up external noise through the microphone and generates opposite-phase signals to broadcast in the earpieces, thus providing noise reduction. As headphones for listening to music, it also takes into account the impact on overall sound performance from active noise reduction and performs certain compensation.
When wearing the noise reduction function in the office, the MDR-1000X effectively filters out low-frequency noise from the upper floor equipment, keyboard sounds, distant voices, and people walking. Voices from the next room were also isolated very low. When listening to music, they were almost inaudible. Landline calls were missed four times. There was no way to turn up the ringer without missing it. Walking on Sports West Road, Tianhe North Road, and the company's downstairs, most of the tires in the field of vision were inaudible! People facing the road would hear very little mid-to-high-frequency tire noise within 20 meters. Even buses close by had very little low frequency. The MDR-1000X’s noise-reducing sounds cover a wide range of frequencies, especially in the low-frequency areas. In noise reduction mode, it still leaves part of the high-frequency information, suggesting that a very high frequency band is physically isolated from the earmuffs. What is the approximate range of this frequency? I suddenly heard a part of the chorus in my headphones, and even the melody was very clear, but the non-treble segments were basically inaudible. The MDR-1000X has significantly higher quality in the high-frequency part than the XB650BT. The overall sense of hearing is also more relaxed and delicate. The mid-frequency performance is soft and not stiff, and the low-frequency is not as loud. This experience is considered to be the price difference between the two. Performance-wise, this overall resolving power and sound level advantage is obvious compared to QC35 and Solo3 Wireless. In Taikoo Hui, the impression of the MDR-1 ADAC headset was not very deep, but by implication, the high-frequency quality of the MDR-1000X is about the same as that of the 1 ADAC, far better than 650. Overall, MDR-1000X in the mid-frequency, high-frequency, and treble parts show a soft and balanced style, the intermediate frequency to listen to the mezzo-soprano can show a rich level of detail and gentle, not dull.
Further comparison, the difference between the desktop apt-X and Huawei P10 SBCs (up to 8.0 ah) was large. apt-X’s high-frequency quality is significantly better, and slightly elevated marks. P10, oh, hear it. And apt-X compared to iphone 6p AAC can provide a more solid and powerful sound overall. The overall dynamics will be slightly better. The details of the high frequencies and the dynamics of the low and mid-range frequencies will therefore benefit significantly. The brain complement of LDAC performance should be able to give full play to the advantages of the MDR-1000X’s overall sound level. Compared with the wired state, the wired mode even with the iPhone is better than the sound of several wireless modes. If you think of it as a 1,500-element headset, the MDR-1000X has performed well. The sound of the QC35 is more like an entry-level headset, and the performance of the 1000x is obviously higher. It has a much more balanced overall sound, and it's much better from a high-fidelity point of view.
