Molex to Release QuatroScaleTM Active Optical Interconnect Solution

In response to the growing demand for long-haul, low-power interconnect solutions that support next-generation 28Gbps products and data center applications, Molex has unveiled a new line of QuatroScale™ designs tailored for 100, 200, and 400Gbps systems. These innovative optical interconnect solutions are set to redefine performance in high-speed data environments. Brent Hatfield, Product Manager at Molex Active Optics, highlighted the evolving needs of data centers: "Currently, average interconnect lengths in U.S. data centers exceed 130 meters, yet the existing 25Gbps MMVCSEL solution is designed for only 100 meters. As data center architectures evolve, OEMs are increasingly turning to silicon photonics-based optical products, which offer superior distance capabilities combined with low power consumption." The newly introduced QuatroScale™ technology leverages silicon photonic CMOS technology, delivering the longest reach, lowest bit error rate (BER), and highest reliability among all 28Gbps products available today. The QuatroScale™ TM100Gbps zQSFP+ Active Optical Cable (AOC) and onboard module solutions operate at power levels as low as 1.5W at 100Gbps, while supporting transmission distances of up to 4 kilometers. The low-power AOC achieves an impressive BER of 1e-18, ensuring over 3 billion device hours of continuous operation without failure. Additionally, the compact QuatroScale zCDTM AOC offers 16 bidirectional channels operating at 28Gbps, with the ability to scale up to 400Gbps bandwidth. Molex’s QuatroScale portfolio provides cost-effective, high-performance installation options that meet the growing demands of large-scale HPC data centers. In summer 2014, Molex plans to introduce the following product samples based on its cutting-edge silicon photonic optical platform: - 100Gbps QSFP28 AOC - 200Gbps midplane optical module (available as 200Gbps or 2x100Gbps port configurations) - 400Gbps CDFPMSA AOC Hatfield added, "These modular QuatroScale solutions bring added economic value, especially when paired with the lowest-cost single-mode structured cabling. Together, they provide customers with the most cost-effective silicon photonics solution for next-generation data centers."

Cable Tester

Our Cable Tester including Cable Tester, Coax Cable Tester, Lan Cable Tester, Fiber cleaver, Network Multi-Modular Cable Tester, Fiber Checker, Optical Power Meter, Optical Fiber Identifier, Optical Fiber Ranger.

A cable tester is an electronic device used to verify the electrical connections in a cable or other wired assembly. Generally a cable tester consists of:

1.A source of electric current,
2.A volt meter,
3.A switching matrix used to connect the current source and the volt meter to all of the contact points in a cable.
In addition to these parts a cable tester may also have a microcontroller and a display to automate the testing process and show the testing results.
