The specific operation procedures of the ultra-clean workbench are as follows:

1. Preparation of the Ultra-Clean Workbench Before Use

(1) Turn on the fan of the ultra-clean workbench to ensure the internal environment is clean. Switch on the work light to provide sufficient illumination for the task at hand.

(2) Confirm that all sterilized materials and experimental items required for use in the ultra-clean station are fully prepared. If a cage box needs to be replaced, check that the sterilization cage is ready and move it to the side of the clean bench using a stainless steel trolley.

(3) Check the spray function of the sprayer and verify that the cleaning solution used to wipe both the inside and outside of the clean bench is properly prepared.

(4) Activate the room’s exhaust system to eliminate any odorous gases that may escape when opening the cage.

(5) Inspect the indicator lights on the IVC unit and visually check the animals in each cage to ensure the system is functioning correctly.

(6) Record key environmental parameters that affect the reproduction, growth, and development of experimental animals, such as temperature, relative humidity, daily temperature fluctuations, and the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the cage.

2. Operation Procedures and Specifications for the Ultra-Clean Workbench

(1) Personnel should wear disposable masks, caps, and medical-grade latex gloves before starting work.

(2) Use both hands to gently lift the outer edge of the IVC cage and carefully slide it out of the enclosure, placing it on the stainless steel trolley next to the ultra-clean workbench.

(3) Spray the outer surface of the gloves and the exterior of the IVC cage with the disinfectant solution. This helps eliminate dust and prevent contamination when the cage is moved into the clean bench. Alternatively, you can dip your gloved hands into a container of disinfectant, take a cloth, wring it out, and wipe the cage’s exterior to remove excess moisture.

(4) Open the ultra-clean workbench and carefully move the cage into the designated area within the bench.

(5) Adjust the sliding door of the ultra-clean workbench by pulling it down slightly. Then, open the fastening tab located at the bottom of the IVC cage lid and set the lid aside in a safe location.
